SUMMARY:The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join me and approximately 1 million people at 150 inspirational evening walks across the US and Canada\, walking to end cancer.\nThis is an annual event that really helps bring awareness and raises funds to help find a cure for this form of cancer. Leukemia has affected my family personally and I know it has many of you reading this now. New York City has three sites and dates for the walk. I’ve done it a few times\, it’s amazing. I took my daughter\, we met friends and felt good about participating. Check out the dates and locations. This one is for a walk in Flushing Meadow Park. – R. Trionfo \nFamily\, friends\, and co-workers gather together to celebrate\, honor or remember those touched by Leukemia or cancer. Registration is free\, but walkers are encouraged to raise funds to support the mission. \nAt Light The Night\, it is our aim to bring light to the darkness of cancer through research and cures. Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) funding of research to find blood cancer cures. We bring hope instead of despair by working to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. We bring communities together to celebrate those who are fighting the disease and to honor those we have lost. \nWe are taking steps to end Leukemia and cancer. WE LIGHT THE NIGHT.\nSurvivors celebrate by carrying white lanterns and taking part in an inspiring survivor ceremony within the survivor circle while the white beam of hope reaches up to the sky\, illuminating the darkness. \nSupporters participate in the walk with their families and friends\, in celebration of survivors and the strides we are making to find cures. \nThose we have lost are honored at the Remembrance Pavilion where family\, friends\, and co-workers can leave tributes to their loved ones. \nThe Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia\, lymphoma\, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma\, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

DESCRIPTION:WE NEED  YOUR HELP!  to fund an annual party on DECEMBER 31st for 100-200 kids in San Pedro de Macoris in Dominican Republic.  \nWe’re looking to raise $350 before 12/30/17 – anything will help! \n check out the gofundme page >> https://www.gofundme.com/sanpedrokids \nThis event is in jeopardy. \nCLICK >> VIDEO OF A PAST EVENT  \nEach year there is a party for really disadvantaged and poor children in San Pedro de Macoris in  Dominican Republic always thrown and funded by “El Camajan”. His vision was to invite all of the children in the area to celebrate a party on Dec 31st that has food\, gifts\, music and shows.  The children in the area look forward to this each and every year and for most it is their only gift and party for the holidays. \nHe passed away a few years ago and the family has continued to put on the party.  They want to continue to serve all the kids and invite everyone but may not have enough to do so\,   I want to help them fund some of the party and make this the most memorable experience and party for these kids.   The families all get together and make this a reality. \nThe money raised will be used to buy gifts\, food\, presentations and make the most memorable event for these kids.   Without our help\, this may not be possible this year ending a tradition and amazing thing for the kids. \n
